SUPPORTED FORMATS

Supported file formats

A practical reference for the formats accepted by the current browser tools.

Images

Current image tools work primarily with JPG/JPEG, PNG and WebP. Selected converters also accept BMP or SVG, and PNG can be exported as ICO in the dedicated icon tool. Browser decoding support can vary by device, so the file picker for each tool is the final source of truth.

PDF

PDF tools accept standard PDF files. Structural operations use pdf-lib; page rendering and raster-based operations use PDF.js. Encrypted, damaged or unusually complex PDFs may not be readable by browser libraries.

Archives and data

The file section includes ZIP creation/extraction plus JSON, CSV, XML, HTML, text, Base64 and general binary-file utilities. Data converters intentionally use conservative mappings because nested structures do not always translate cleanly between formats.

Video

Current video converters cover MP4, WebM, MOV, MKV and AVI workflows where the browser-loaded FFmpeg WebAssembly engine can decode the source and encode the chosen target. Codec support and device memory still matter.

Audio

Current audio workflows include MP3, WAV, M4A and OGG conversion plus a general audio-to-WAV tool. Long or high-bitrate media can be CPU and memory intensive in a browser.

Why some formats are not listed

A file extension alone does not guarantee that a browser or local engine can decode its internal codec or structure. We publish formats only when there is an implemented workflow rather than creating keyword-only pages.
