How to Merge PDF Files Privately in Your Browser
Learn what browser-based PDF merging does and how to combine documents safely.
What PDF merging actually does
A merge operation creates a new PDF and copies pages from your selected files into it. The page order follows the input order. A good merger does not need to rasterize every page, so text and vector content can remain intact.
Why local processing matters
Documents can contain invoices, contracts, identification or private correspondence. Browser-side merging allows the files to stay on the device during normal processing. You should still download the result somewhere appropriate and handle sensitive documents according to your own security requirements.
Prepare files before merging
Put files in the order you want before selecting them. If one document has pages in the wrong order, reorganize that PDF first. Password-protected or damaged PDFs may need to be repaired or unlocked by an authorized owner before browser libraries can read them.
Verify the merged document
Open the result and check page count, page order, orientation and important text before sharing it. Merging creates a new file and should not alter the source PDFs.
